Week 2 of "Lisa being 40".
I know at the moment the weight I am losing is mostly water weight, but it still thrills me to step on the scales.
Monday I ate leftover deli chicken and roast beef for breakfast, and lunch was leftover taco beef and shrimp. Dinner was pieces from a rotisserie chicken and I dipped it in a little horseradish sauce and sriracha mayo.
Tuesday I made 2 scrambled eggs with a pinch of cheese, and 4 slices of turkey bacon. I missed lunch because we got stuck by a train, and by the time I got back to the office the next driver was waiting and ready to go.
When I got home I was so tired I didn't feel like cooking so I just ate my lunch, some more rotisserie chicken, and my second pork chop from Sunday night.
I knew Wednesday was going to be potentially bad eating, my sisters (and Lily who was out of school with swollen tonsils) were going to Alexandria.
I didn't eat breakfast which I regretted 15 minutes after leaving the house, I picked up Bailey, which led to me being the greatest sister ever! She had a visitor in her bed:
I saved the day, I am pretty much Mighty Mouse.
We loaded up and went to Target, because...Target.
Lunch was at Logan's Roadhouse. I ordered the Club with a side of steamed broccoli. They brought us rolls, that were oh so soft. I ate it. I owned it.
She then brought us 4 more. Begone, SATAN! I may have eaten one more.
My sandwich I picked apart and just ate the inside, tried the best I could to avoid the bread.
Lily also refused to take pictures with anyone but Aunt Bea.
For dinner I picked up Captain D's for Scott, and may have snuck a piece of beer battered fish.
I cut a piece of round steak unto bites, seasoned with tons of salt free seasoning, and made roasted asparagus for my dinner.
Thursday I wanted those steak leftovers so bad, but I went the other route and made 2 scrambled eggs and turkey bacon. I didn't have to work but half a shift so I had plenty of downtime to mostly sit around, do laundry, and watch Season 1 of Party of Five. Lunchtime came around! I heated up those glorious leftovers, grabbed a bottle of water, a fork, the remote, and my phone while trying to turn on the light.
When I dropped my food, it bounced in every direction.
I ended up having a frozen chicken patty from the freezer.
Dinner was catfish, broccoli, and carrots again. This is my go to meal, so very good.
Friday I worked another half shift so I ate turkey bacon for breakfast, and I didn't have lunch, so when I got off at 4 I was starving. Spent almost $200 at the grocery store only to eat the meat and cheese out of a McDonald's cheeseburger for dinner. I may have swiped a couple of Scott's chicken nuggets. I made a shrimp dip with cooked shrimp (I just thawed out a bag of precooked shrimp so it would't have the heavy seasoning when you get it from the seafood guy), picked off their little tails, used a bunch of Mrs Dash seasonings and garlic powder, put a block of cream cheese in the microwave for 30 seconds, a cup of cheddar cheese, and lemon juice. It said to serve with crackers and I honestly didn't think to buy anything low carb, so I used the mini club crackers and wiped all of the salt off. I normally would eat a cracker per dipping, but I just piled it high with dip and took the smallest bites. I think I finished dinner with just 5 crackers.
We watched "Pacific Rim: Uprising" which was was better than I anticipated. You can never go wrong with Scott Eastwood.
Saturday was the Alabama/Georgia SEC Championship Game. There were a lot of curse words said during this game, but Alabama pulled it off. I didn't eat that great, for breakfast I ate deli ham and cheese in a croissant, and lunch was (another) dip I made, you brown hamburger meat and a quarter of an onion, drain, add in a can of sloppy Joe sauce, a block of cream cheese, 2 cups of sharp cheddar, throw it all in a crock pot and occasionally stir until melted. Season how you like, I used all salt free. I ate a few crackers, but mostly just used a fork.
I had some wine, so Scott and I decided to day drink. Normally I would finish the entire bottle, which is the equivalent of two bottles, this comes in a liter size. Every sip of wine I would take I would also take a drink of water. It didn't take long to become stupid so I decided I would cook myself dinner. According to Scott I made 2 eggs with cheese and turkey bacon. I really wanted the junk food from the freezer, at least I kept some smarts. I used to always wake up every time I would drink a lot with my heart beating so fast for an hour or so. It didn't really do it this time. Maybe it is dehydration that is causing it.
That doesn't explain why it was doing it that first Sunday and the night before Thanksgiving. I am drinking so much water, I practically live in the restroom.
Sunday I worked a full shift since we were off Saturday, so breakfast was of course, turkey bacon, and lunch was sliced deli ham and sliced cheese.
When I came in after the last student I was filling out the paperwork and began to shake. The mom joked that she shakes too when she gets out the car with her daughter. I agreed, haha.
I felt fine when I got home, but around dinnertime my chest was fluttering and I was a little dizzy. I had zero pain, so I tried to ignore it. I googled and it said it is a symptom of diabetes and anxiety.
Since there was no pain I tried to just move on with my life and not worry.
Yeah right. I ate more deli ham and sliced cheese for dinner.
I have noticed when my chest is feeling like this, I always have acid reflux. It got so bad (the acid pill did not work) that I drank apple cider vinegar. I don't.....do vinegar. It actually helped.
I woke up Monday morning feeling fine. I have never taken medication for the anxiety, but I am guessing I need to suggest it when I go to the doctor.
I didn't take a while lot of pics this week.
When President Bush passed away, it hurt my soul. Always have been and will be a fan.
This picture of his dog at his casket is killing me.
I did lose 3 more pounds. I knew the weight loss at the beginning was all of the water weight from the sodium, so now I have to put forth effort into it.
I really miss junk food and snacking during the day. I would get off of work, pick up a large pizza, eat 3 or 4 pieces before I even got home, and save the rest for the following day. Then I would cook dinner and eat like I didn't just scarf down half of a pizza.
I am not cutting every thing out, instead of eating a family size bag of chips I will eat a handful. Instead of buying a box of Hostess Cupcakes, I will buy a single pack, and eat half one day and half the second day.
I am trying, ya'll.
