I really wish that I had something interesting to blog.
For the most part, since the last blog, it has been work, sleep, complaining about no-carb, and reading.
I am never going to meet my 50 Books in a Year goal because I got sucked into "The Lost City of Z' by David Grann. Now when I start to read about things that pique my interest, I can't just read it. I have a notebook, and highlighters, and as we speak, 14 tabs open on my laptop about not only the man the book is about, but about where he was, the people that were involved, the country, the tribes, all of it.
I am a inveterate reader, I can't help it :)
The movie premiered this weekend, but I think I want to wait until I finish the book. I heard it was extremely watered down, and changed up so much for cinematic purposes.
Hockey is over, DISH Network airs ZERO Braves games, and if they did I am sure they wouldn't come in anyway. NASCAR was rained out today, and PBR is currently recording. We are going to an event in a couple of weeks, so I am excited about that!
Easter Sunday pics!
You know you live in Louisiana when....
This got me in the feels. A local policeman passed away, and for the funeral procession two firetrucks on each side of the road had this flying high.
I was stopped underneath it when I took it. It was breathtaking from farther away, but Scott flipped out when I went to take a picture because "There are cops right there!", like they are going to stop the funeral procession to give me a ticket for taking a picture whilst driving 3 MPH.
(Note, I always pull over for a funeral procession, they were just getting ready to leave the church, it had not started yet)
I end this week with Callie...the most helpful dog in the history of domesticated dogs.
I enjoy sports, binge watching TV, food, reading, and slightly bearded men.
