It was not a good month to be a celebrity. More than 15 people society lost. This is how the year began: I trained two people at work, which always makes me feel like a failure. I don't know why, I am pumping them full of all of my knowledge. I am not a great teacher though, I feel that I have to cram everything I know in just a few hours. They leave exhausted and confused. When I left around 3:30 I felt exhausted, but in good spirits. I was off the next day. I take my phone out of my back pocket, set it on top of the car, put my laptop bag and my purse in the backseat, get some papers that I needed to deliver, get in my car, back up, drive around the parking lot to make sure all is good, and then I hightailed it out onto the highway. About 2 1/2 miles from the hotel I go to grab my phone to text my sister I was on my way. I didn't see it in the seat. I glance at my dash screen and see that it is not connected via Bluetooth. And then it hits me. It was on top of my car. I pull into the first driveway I see. THE WORST driveway mind you to get out of in reverse. I fly to the hotel hoping and praying it's in the parking lot. After 2 searches, nothing. I walk into the hotel almost in tears and shamed from embarrassment, and Brian, our Mighty Mouse maintenance engineer was there, just clocking out. He offered to help look. I told him no, he had just as a bad day as I have and I knew he was ready to leave. He didn't. He helped me search the parking lot, the driveway ramp, and even down the highway. He found it in the median between the two lanes in grass. I expected it to be in pieces. It survived with just a few cracks and scratches. It has trouble staying on, but I DON'T CARE!! My baby is safe!!! I wish I had a picture of Brian stopping traffic when he saw the case. In all honestly, this month was very mundane. I worked. A lot. Many people in and out this month. Still in the process of training. I worked a lot of 7-3, 8-4, 3-11, and even one 7am-11pm shift. One day life will go back to normal. I really don't have much to offer but bunches of pictures. And I am feeling lazier than usual, so you're getting them in the order they are saved on the flash drive. And now I give you....SnapChat filters...... And that was pretty much the entire month. Nothing much ado. I did cook once. I will try to do better in February.
