I didn't blog last month's box. It was not good at all, and I didn't want to be a Debbie Downer. This month...is different. I still haven't a verdict for these. They taste WOW, then spicy, then sweet. Scott didn't like them, and i is nothing that I would buy solo, but they were pretty good. No.....to all. This was like a Nutter Butter. And sand. I like. It had a very interesting consistency. I liked the flavor, it was rich. This was like a straight up Moon Pie. I ate all of it, and didn't share. This.....is still sitting in the kitchen. We are probably never going to eat it. It doesn't feel like Ramen noodles from the outside of the package. It's a no from me. Free chopsticks, yo. I also didn't share this. I am not a fan of hazelnut, but I was snacky that day, and these were like little sticks of Nutella.
A pretty good box all around. Next month, Columbia!

In typical Lisa-fashion, I go to church this morning with the fam, I'm letting Lily waller all over me, I sing, I clap, the preacher is about to take the pulpit, and I feel something weird behind my armpit. I think for a second that it's an ant, it was just a little prick. Then I felt it. Fire. Knives. I jump, then I have to get up and run out. So embarrassing. I wanted to take off my clothes right then and there, but I had to walk out of the sanctuary, across the foyer, and into the women's bathroom.
I still do not know what exactly had managed to get inside my clothes, but it was black with a yellow stripe. All I could do was lay my head against the stall it hurt so bad. Rebecca came in there and trapped it in a paper towel, and you could feel it vibrating her entire fist. To me it looked like a huge beetle/spider, but she said it was definitely a hornet of some kind. I didn't see any wings, but that had to have been what was vibrating so bad. Neither of us had our phones, so we'll never know. Almost 12 hours later it still hurts, it is still red, and I want to amputate. Lily looked cute though, taking selfies with my phone.
We both wore polka dots.
Naps, grocery shopping, and cleaning was the rest of my day.
I also had a perverted tortilla chip in my basket at El Patio.
I finally got to see The Lost City of Z!!!
I may have watched it 3 times in less than 24 hours.
If you want a comprehensive account of Colonel Fawcett's life, I recommend this book:
The Lost City of Z: A Tale of Deadly Obsession in the Amazon by David Grann
My rating: 5 of 5 stars I read many articles about this book, the figures and tribes in the story, and several of them said "that ending though!". I see what they mean. At 73% (if you're reading on the Kindle), the book ends. The rest is footnotes and sources, and to my delight, pictures. I kind of don't want to watch the film, which is loosely based on the expeditions of Col. Fawcett, because I know it will not hold a candle to this book and all of research that went in to it. So a cool thing happened.......
Missed it by one number!
We did get a check with a comma on it, AND A T SHIRT!!!!! I'm a sucker for a t shirt. I finally had enough of DISH Network going out. We will be getting Direct TV on Saturday. Rebecca came over to help us try one more thing to get a signal.....Lil' was our entertainment.
The Direct TV is setup, and I am in love! All of the channels come in, the new tv is lovely, I can watch tv in the bedroom, and record up to 5 things at once.
Most importantly!? I have Braves baseball again.
I may or may not have watched 30 episodes of The Golden Girls so far....
Obligatory Lily pics....
Work has been good.
Deanna is learning the art of towel animals.
Others are...well....
Giggles.
