Houston is going to the World Series!!!!
Lazy day off. Church, grocery shopping, and catching up on DVR.
Long work day.
I also broke my toe.
Like straight up broke my toe.
I cooked! Loaded Baked Potato Dip and Seasoned Salmon
Our escapades today were just too much for her.

I always fix my hair fancy for a Saturday night.
So maybe tonight's game lasted until almost 1:00am.
Since I am off work tomorrow, I wore my only semi-Halloween-related thing I own.
It's my favorite day of the year!!!!!
Way more than just one picture today.
The best Halloween picture ever? The lady on the right went as my MOM!!!!!!
One more bonus...
Only in my hometown.....
My sister's Facebook:
So umm... I'm in the kitchen, Lily is on the porch playing with the cat, when she comes barging in screaming "There's a pig on the road!! And it's not pink! It's gray!!" I'm like wtf?? This kid is nuts. But sure enough!
Thank you so much for indulging me in my 3-part October blog.
It is my favorite time of the year! Can I say it again!
Tomorrow is Game 7 of the World Series!!! I am hopeful!!!!!!
Being the greatest month of all, why wouldn't you want to document every day?!
The Astros won Game 1 of the ALCS!
I lost my aunt today.
My Mother's sister, Donna, had been fighting cancer.
I really don't want to get personal on here, but I stood 2 feet away when her son Troy took his last breath a couple of years ago. I was standing there in the doorway when Donna took hers. This isn't fair. I lost my Daddy. My grandmother. Too many family members I have had to say goodbye to because of cancer, and liver failure, and for whatever reason our Lord decided that it was time. I would never question His decisions.
But it hurts.
And I am angry for the pain my family is going through. No one should have to lose a sister, a mother, a grandmother, an aunt.
I know it happens every single day, but I take it personally. Two people that I worked with have lost their dads this week.
I hope as a society that we pray for the peace and comfort of all of our fellow people, whether you know and like them or not.
I worked a 16 hour shift at work. Voluntarily.
Bailey stopped by, LOL
I cooked! Ugly Inside Out Enchiladas
This happened Sunday, but nothing at all happened today, so I thought I would share.
I don't want to talk about it.
Well..I thought it was funny.
My birthday present came in early! I am going to try hard to keep it put up until November 13th.
I took two pictures, none of which show what exactly it looks like.
A lot of heartbreak this week, but as always we made it through.
The Astros will advance to a Game 7 to determine who will go to the World Series.
Here is hoping to a happier week!
Do you know the phrase "Been there, done that, bought the tshirt?", well that is me.
Call it a quirk, when I find something I am interested in, I automatically look for a tshirt.
When I started watching Astros baseball, I was adamant that I had to support my team via shirt. This is much better than my "sticker on my car" phase. (I have three on there right now, I am prohibiting myself from a flamingo sticker).
I ordered the shirt, put it on, and was ready for some baseball!!!!
Not a big deal. The next evening I was ready with my slightly dirty shirt on!!!
They ended up losing 5 in a row.
When they made the post-season playoffs, I condemned the shirt to "the rod".
I wore it here and there, mainly to sleep in.
So FINALLY! Dallas Stars hockey begins!!!
They lost, yo. I had on the shirt, and they lost to the Golden Knights.
You know what?
They lost the following night to the St. Louis Blues.
The shirt is in the "winter pajamas" drawer.
Ya'll!!!! I just wrote this post yesterday, I come home from work, changed clothes, and turn on the hockey game.
Look what I did!!!!!!!!!!
I need to put it with my "workout" clothes, those NEVER get looked at!
It is my favorite time of the year!!!!!
Even though it's still in the 90's, Autumn is in the air.
Here is a pic a day for the first few days of October! (please lower your expectations)
No caption needed.
Guess which one I grabbed to freshen up my face?
This.....was the highlight of my entire day. I could have eaten the entire thing myself, but I did share it with Scott.
Very long and hard work day. I ate one meal and drank half a bottle of water.
I am not doing well at the whole "adulting".
I thought these were wine bottles. #drunk
I accidentally deleted a ton of pics off of my phone, but today I was off work, cleaned the house all day, and caught up on all of my shows. At one point I had Scandal playing on DVR, while I had on my laptop split screen Chicago Fire and This is Us.
But since I deleted the one picture I took today, here, enjoy this image of Baron Corbin.
Dallas Stars hockey began today!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
So maybe I spent the entire day indoors, holed up watching sports and pigging out on burgers and hot dogs.
I didn't take the first picture. Enjoy this image of Baron Corbin.
A bonus picture day. It's Lily's birthday!!!!
We went to church, ate lunch, then had cake and presents at her house.
AND!!! (I would never say but more importantly..) THE HOUSTON ASTROS ARE HEADED TO THE ALCS!!!
I posted this to my loving husband's Facebook wall.
Because I am classy like that.
Busy work day, and time with my family.
Go buy this book! I received the pre-order and downloaded it to all of my Kindle apps.
Here's to a busy upcoming week!
I enjoy sports, binge watching TV, food, reading, and slightly bearded men.
