My body decided to betray me, I was having cold sweats, blurred vision, arm and chest pains....I didn't have time for that. I finally went to the doctor on day 4 and was diagnosed with Hypertension and Anxiety. The worst part for now is the medication. It feels like I am The Walking Dead. Very nauseating, and my brain is somewhere else. I am hoping that it will pass. I haven't craved brains to eat yet, so I am cool. Bailey's SnapChats cracked me up, she was at a scholarship dinner. lawd jesus it flooded again Day 1: The next few days is expected to flood. I know a few employees won't be able to get out from their house, a lot of the back roads flood here. I am staying at the hotel tonight in case the 5:00am crew can't make it. Day 2: Everything turned out alright, it didn't rain that much and every one made it to work. I am going home at 4:00. Day 3: I lied. Everything is flooded. No one can get to work, the way in and out of town is blocked. All other ways in are also flooded: I couldn't get home because one of the bridges about a quarter mile from my was underwater: Okay not really, but I wasn't there to take a picture. The high school and campus are flooded: Because of this, no Hampton employees were able to make it to work. I stayed the night again there, one Housekeeper Kelle stayed the night, and our Housekeeping Supervisor Tori stayed. One sole housekeeper that lived on this side of the entrance to town was able to come in. Thank you Shanice. That is it. No breakfast person, no front desk person, no laundry people, and just the 2 housekeepers. But you know what? We made it. Since Scott couldn't make it to his job, he stayed at the hotel and helped us. Right as the storms began they were vicious. A solid 90 minutes of flooding, high wind, and lightning strikes. We of course all were stuck to the glass watching it from high ground. The WiFi tower they had to put on my Mother's roof is affectionately known as "The Eye of Sauron". And if you haven't watched the 12 hour Lord of the Rings movie, well a) we can't be friends, b) get your life together, and c) this won't make a bit of sense: so my reply.. And then it stopped. I am like WHADDUP! we are free! And then it started again. For hours and hours. Shoot....it even rained at night. and I am like..... Below are all the picture that I accumulated. I didn't take the first one, and I am unsure of where all I got them from. No one sue me. Below are my two favorite; an unknown man to me, helping an elderly man out of his flooded house, and then a cool cat named Guy. His wife is our breakfast hostess here, and he will not let a Biblical size flood get in his way of fishing: And yes, that is the front page of the Natchitoches Times. Speaking of the Natchitoches Times.... The ladies below did all the work though...... Pictures I stole!!!!!! From a person that went to the doctor 3 times in a decade, I have been 3 times just this month. Every time I go it gets more dramatic. Hypertension. Anxiety. Diabetes. Not one person has said "eat all the cake you want". Anyway, they also put me on metformin, so we shall see. Happy Easter!! I did take a few pictures myself. So I get this nice family pic.... I send back... So Rebecca, Lily, and I are eating at Lucky Village. Rebecca may or may not have gotten shrimp juice in her eye. And went blind. "Lily, are you sure that's how you're supposed to swing?" "Aye." I giggle. I CLOSE THIS MONTH WITH THINGS THAT MAKE ME SMILE :) Tears, but happy tears.....
