My days off were a little different this week, I volunteered to work Saturday. *vomit sound* I took off Wednesday, but still had to go in for a couple of hours, so when I got off, I said "HEY!! Let's go wake up Rebecca and Lily!". Lily of course cried the first hour I was there, but then warmed up to me when I let her pilfer through my bag. Thursday was awesome, after work Scott and I met up with people from work and we ate at Mama's Oyster House. I highly recommend the Broiled Snapper with Pontchartrain sauce. Nom. Friday I was off, and Bailey and I had a town day. We may or may not have gotten lost. What happens after the 8th chicken? Saturday was an easy work day. Laura dazzled us all with her socks: I am friends with an Atlanta Falcons fan, and being a Saints fan we are not Football Friendlies. I Tweeted him that I took special time out from work to MAKE SURE I told him Geaux Saints. His reply: As everyone mostly knows, I am terrified of vampires. Buffy the Vampire Slayer, the cheesy 90's flick even creeped me out. Let us not talk about the Twilight Saga. *gag*. But this Dracula trailer looks pretty good. Sunday at work. SO SO sleepy. I drank over a liter of Dt Mtn. Dew. Nothing. I think it made me more tired. . I take back what I said about Sunday being an easy work day. Everything was going good, Guests were happy, Housekeeping going on an even pace.....and then there's a dead guy. I saw him when I got to work, "sleeping" in his truck, but people do that all the time. Being right off of the interstate, it is a common site, I thought nothing of it. When one of the Housekeepers went to leave, she saw him too. Said he had been there since she got to work. We go outside, I see his eyes are open and he's not breathing. I am calm, call 911. Police, ambulance, fire dept, detectives, and eventually a coroner arrive. I am cool, I am calm. On the outside anyway. On the inside I am screaming and freaking out. We survived though. No foul play is suspected, Ending this short week with some of my favorite Tweets.
How is the new blog layout working? Yay? Nay?
