Day 36I really enjoy having Mondays off, working Tuesday-Saturday. This week Jared is working all 7 days, open to close. Boo. I took a melatonin way too late last night. When I got up at 6am to make sure Jared had everything he needed for work, I went back to sleep before it even alerted me that he left on Life 360. I slept until 10 or so. I had turkey bacon for breakfast, and leftover Chicken Queso for lunch. I have been cleaning most of the day, my plan is to finish the bath and bedroom, Jared is having leftover spaghetti, I had a leftover hamburger patty with a cut of white cheddar melted on top. It did not photograph well. Day 37I would call this a bonus off day, but I know that when I go back to work that I am going to have to work 10 days straight. I ate around noon, 2 hamburger patties, cheese, and mayo. When dinner rolled around, I was going to cook fish. I thawed it out in the sink, hours later I take it out of the freezer bag, look at it, message Jared and go, "I think this is the bait". I ended up making ground turkey w/ wild rice for him and The Child, and I had sausage and eggs. I already knew that the block white cheese melted funny, but it did not pair well with the eggs. Day 38Back to work, so of course I had sausage links for breakfast. Lunch was turkey, cheese, half a cucumber, and come cottage cheese. Driving home from work, I could not keep my eyes open. I came home, kick off my shoes, and went straight to sleep. 2 hours later I wake up, dried drool, hair stuck to my face. I cut up 3 chicken breast, seasoned as usual, baked on 375 for about 20 minutes. I then marinated the chicken in sugar free honey mustard for about an hour, and then simmered it in a skillet for about 30 minutes. I microwaved packaged Brussel sprouts, and then drained the water, put them in a skillet w/ butter and seasonings, and tossed them around on high temp for about 7 or 8 minutes. Jared and The Child had beef and cheese taquitos with chips and salsa. I am fancy like that. Day 39I knew when I took my blood sugar, like for the past week, that it was going to say 330. It did. *shrugs* Sausage links for breakfast, and leftover chicken/Brussel sprouts for lunch. I told my coworker and the student drivers that I was heating up the sprouts and that they would probably smell. No one said anything, but then another person walked and and went "WHO FARTED!!!!!" I ran errands after work, stop by for a minute to get some Jared hugs, and then came home. I made pork chops and mashed potatoes for the fam, but I had zero appetite. I drank some sugar free Tang, and that was my dinner. Day 40I didn't even wake up hungry, but I ate 2 leftover pork chops for breakfast. Today is the first day of FALL!!!! You would think by eating decent, no snacking, I have cut WAY down on Diet drinks, that even if my blood sugar isn't dropping, I would ate least lose pounds? No. I am still 5 pounds down so YAY, but damn it's been 40 days. Dinner was salad. Day 41Today....was not good. I didn't bother checking my sugar because I knew it was just going to say 330 again and put me in a mood before 7:00am. I ate sausage links for breakfast, and then at lunch I took SPAM and heated it up in the microwave for 3 minutes, stuck a piece of white cheddar in the middle, and ate it. Please forgive my French, but the second half of my work day was pretty fucking bad. Like, bad that I am cussing for real. We stopped for our break on the opposite side of town because there was no way that we could go to our regular place because I didn't trust them to get us in and out safely. So I am looking at their drink cooler. Do I want water, a Powerade Zero, a Dr Pepper Zero? No. I grabbed this. It had sugar AND carbs. Zero cares. I drank the whole thing, and then finished my work day with a forced smile. AND THEN, I didn't really eat dinner, I cooked chicken and rice for Jared, and I made Ugly Beer Cheese Dip. The Child bought grocery store sushi, and saved me 2 pieces. I ate them. AND THEN, I tried the dip with the pretzel crackers that I bought. I ate a little with a spoon, but I consumed at least 5 crackers. What even is life. Back to normality tomorrow. Day 42Same lunch and breakfast as yesterday.
No deliciously sweet mocha drinks. I had salad for dinner, and made the fam biscuits and sausage. Down 7 pounds :) I'm not even looking at my blood sugar.
