Day 43I only ate once today. We got up 9-ish, laid around, then went into town to run errands. Picked up food to cook for dinner, and Jared goes, "You want Asian food?" Why yes I do. Still full at dinner time, so that was that. Probably the worst low carb food entry in existance. Day 442 sausage patties for breakfast. Turkey w/ melted cheese on a zero carb tortilla for lunch. I made "Totchoes" for dinner. My plan was to make this for the family, and then cook my dinner, but 50eleven things happened, so around 9:00pm, this is what we ate. I went easy on the tater tots and black beans. The recipe is literally Slow Cooker Tater Tot Heaven, except baked in the oven, minus the sour cream, and add black beans. I thought I had discovered something totally new and easy until I took the first bite. I said "this is literally the crock pot thing". Also, my bag of "diabetes shit" which has my meter, needles, strips, all my cash, and my debit card is missing somewhere between the house and the car. Day 45Leftovers for breakfast. Melted cheese on turkey slices for lunch. I finally broke down and bought some Keto bread. Jared made chili dogs for dinner, and the bread was awesome! Still no diabetic bag... Day 46Sausage links for breakfast, which is just lazy, because I didn't go into work until 11:00 and I had time to prepare something different. Meh. For dinner I made a me-version of Fajita Nachos Bravas. On a scale of 10, being from the restaurant, and mine at home, it was a 3. BUT, still tasty. I took pre-packaged chicken and steak pieces, a bag of shrimp that I picked the tails off, thawed, and seasoned, bell peppers and onions, and a can of white queso, and mixed it all together on the stove. I put thin tortilla chips underneath, but I only ate a few that were saturated in cheese. Jared found my diabetic bag, so Imma try to get my readings and injections back on track. Day 47Sausage links for breakfast, and lunch was going to be the leftovers from last night. My first driver was a no show, but I couldn't go home and back because that's over 2 hours of driving, so I just kind of meandered around town. I couldn't call my second driver in early, because he didn't get out of school until 3. NEVER does the second driver no show or cancel, it's always the first one that fouls up everything. I saved my lunch for dinner, and Jared wanted a pizza. Day 48Today is Levi's 1st birthday! Which means over 10 hours of driving. We ate breakfast at the Golden Corral in Alexandria. Now I did get some healthy choices. They had sausage links, bacon, eggs, and I did eat these things. And maybe a couple pieces of deep fried bacon, and half of a cinnamon roll. And a square of French Toast. <<< that was only because there was no white gravy for the biscuits. We made it to the party, there was pizza and cake. I ate half of a slice of Jared's, and ONE bite of the cake, I drove back home, we got here around 9:00pm, so I just kind of ate a couple of tablespoons of peanut butter, and we went to bed before 10:00. Day 49I am going to have to get my shit together. Forgot to take my sugar, and insulin. It's slowly getting cooler so I am excited to start walking. I didn't weigh today in fear that I'd be right back where I started, so I can wait a week. Brunch was canned meat. I am not lying. We got it from the nice old lady that we bought the Toyota from, both affectionally named Lurlene. She has a bunch of groceries that she gets and never uses, so we got a bunch of what she didn't need. After he cooked the "beef", which honestly tastes fine, it's just fugly, he added green beans and corn. After we ate, it wasn't too hot, so I went outside and was cleaning up in the backyard, I pick up a chair that my big ol' booty plopped down in a slightly inebriated state and busted the seat out to the burn pit and I made it about 35 steps before I felt the first sting. There was a whole ass ant colony living in the folds of the chair. They were everywhere from my ankles to my neck. I took off towards the shower, yelling and stripping. It got so bad with the itching that I had to take a Benadryl. I DO NOT take Benadryl. I was out. Cold.
Jared finally woke me up to tell me dinner had arrived. The Child described me as coming down off of anesthesia. I got a burger, and I took off the buns. After I finished eating, they were both laughing at me, mouth full, going "I ATE THE BUNS!!! I DIDN'T MEAN TOOOOOO!!!" I barely remember this. Anyway, I am getting tired of the same old results so I need to step it up. Now tomorrow is our anniversary, and we're going to the Asian place I like, so I am not even gonna tell y'all what I'm going to eat because the shrimp I love, even though lightly breaded, is still carby. I also get two steamed dumplings. But the stuffed cheese mushrooms is where it's at. 'Til next week.
