It's SAAAATURDAY!!!! I mentally commited myself to three events today, so I think I will just stay at home, maybe buy groceries, watch Pretty Little Liars and clean house. Who knows! I slept in until 8:30, and I have been sitting in the same spot for 3 hours. My butt kinda hurts. I have been reading a lot of good health advice and looking at many healthy recipes whilst eating a Smoke Sausage sandwich.Hey it counts, right? The Braves had a good game with a walk off win. Sunday!!!! Meh. We had a mini crisis at work and it was tuurrribbble. I kissed a lot of butt, smiled, made a lot of angry people happy, BS'd my way through the entire long shift. I came home, folded laundry, washed my uncles laundry, made out my bill sheet for next month (btw, if anyone wants to buy me dinner a few times, that'd be greaaaaat), and then plopped my Hefty Hannah butt on the couch and watched the end of the race and Bull Riding. I just saw on the news that we are under a flood watch for two days. The yard is so soaked right now that my shoes sink in the grass. It has been over two weeks since it has been mowed, but it has been wet and nasty. This is to poop on. Some roads are still closed. Rebecca knows that I am scared of geese. She sends me these atrocities. I said "Goodbye Lily, nice to know you". Monday!!! Was a really good day. *swoon* Now I am not sure, but I don't think that THIS is a sign of a heart attack: The storm that came through at 9:30ish was no joke. We got high winds and lots of rain but there were floods, lots of power outages, and even a tornado touchdown nearby. Tuesday!!!! I ballerina danced a lot today. I am glad I went to sleep semi early, I got a call before 5am and had to go into work. It was good though. Lily had a dr. appt. Most of my night was spent with my heads on my head. Have you ever tried to remember where you know someone? I watched a quick 30 second movie trailer and thought I saw an actor I knew. I Googled the cast, and it was definitely not him. Then I tried to remember. I knew it was a movie, he was not the main character, he was a brother, and he looked like he was trying not to cry all of the time. I knew it was a movie I owned and had watched. I kept channeling James McAvoy, but I knew that wasn't it. I get getting Robert Pattinson's scene from Twilight where he says "you put your seat belt on", because the acting was about the same.... After looking through all of my movies (except the ones in the spare room), I was stumped. I couldn't let it go. I finally just went to Netflix and went to "movies you rated", and after about 10 minutes I found it. The Lake House. The dude that played Keanu Reeves brother. And then I watched Bull Riding until I went to bed. Wednesday! I was so excited that I was going to get to sleep in. I am covering a shift and I won't have to be there at 8am. Yeah..... 4:40am I wake up, tinkle, then I hear the storm begin. It was so much worse than the night before. I just knew a tree was going to plow down on us. The winds were at 60mph. I turn on the tv to watch the weather and the satellite is out. I grab my phone...the weather app says "cloudy". Turdface. I download the KSLA weather app and it tells me there is a strong front moving through and just pass on around 6:30am. That's right, I stayed up until it passed. Go back to sleeeeeeep.....and the phone rings. Forget sleep. Work was non-eventful, however there was free pizza. Left and went to see the Lil. Honestly, I only saw the spider at first: Thursday!!! PAYDAY!!!! It was a pretty good work week. Thursday are usually my Friday's as I work almost every Sunday. My boss lady suggested Mexican for lunch, and I went with her menu suggestion, she knows what I like. This was AMAZING!!! The only downside was I didn't know 1) it was so large and 2) it had LETTUCE. I ate about half of it, sans lettuce, and took the rest home for dinner. The abomination of lettuce just got all soggy and made the rest inedible. I just picked out the meat and guacamole. Next time, half order, and NO lettuce. Why it exists I have no idea, spinach is much better in a salad. Bailey is officially a college freshman. Getting schedules and tours, and all of this grown up malarkey. And guess what? It's still raining. My front yard: Lily has for sure been my friend lately. It has taken 20 months to accomplish this. She even crawled in my lap the other day so I could read to her. When I got there today we were friends, and then Scott showed up. And sat next to me. I was out. She wouldn't even look at me. He left, and I was back in again! Because every one needs a little Hunter and Brayden dressing up in their life! Friday! A lot going on today. I got to sleep in until 8:30 so that was the bees knees. I showered, got dressed and went to my mother's house. She, Bailey and I went to Alexandria today. (I didn't get us lost!) (Okay, my mother gave me directions) When I got in the car I realized that I have left my shades somewhere. And then.... When we were eating lunch, I got a text that said "I miss you! I need your face!" So I sent: And then I got "No!! In person!" Meh, I do what I can. We went to Hobby Lobby, needed stuff for work, and I bought this amazeballs frame. 50% off!! Then onto Sam's Club, a quick pit stop, then home. I don't think my mother appreciated all of the music on my iPod. Bailey had her last Award Ceremony. She knocked them all out of the park ;) We then stayed out until after midnight (such rebels) and put up the new bulletin board at work.
It isn't finished, and I need to tweak it, so I will post pictures when I (okay not me) completes it. Thank you Bailey, Ariel-Marie, and Amber for your help! I watched a little Dr. Who, and then feel asleep. Overall, it was a great week!

Let's see....what's been happening... Bailey graduated.... Lily has become by friend (for now) Bailey and I went to Alexandria, and I *possibly* got us lost. Work and work. Haven't even taken any Snapchat selfies. Lots and lots of rain. Fields, yards, and riverbanks are flooded. My yard, not so much. Internet stuff:I let out a little SQUEEEEEEE the other day when Chad Prather favorited my tweet. He also has a new video out, a follow up for the Feet video, with NO MORE FEET. I know it's only May, but here you go folks...the picture of the year: Toodles.
As much as I am not ready for it, my baby sister has graduated high school. *insert bawling here* And then came the after pictures. And then we went to stuff our face. This past week has been a hoot. As I mentioned in the last blog, I bought a new car. First time ever. I still want to throw up thinking about it. Friday Bailey and I took it in to get an inspection sticker, then I spent most of the day hanging out with her, Rebecca, and Lily. Saturday I got up early and went into work for a few hours. Came home, took the worlds greatest nap, then went to buy groceries. (IN THE CAR WITH AIR CONDITIONING!!!) I get a call whilst browsing the fruits and vegetables from my cousin Josh... "Uh yeah, the kid next door just spray painted all over your truck" I was very calm, like Liam Neeson in "Taken". "Document everything, I am on my way". I hate to bother my landlord for anything. In 4 years I have had to call him when my air went out, and when said neighbors dog got under our house (while attached to a chain that was embedded in the ground), and ripped out all the underpinning when trying to get out. I did let him know the time the police were next door when said neighbor 1 stabbed neighbor 2. Anyway, he told me to call the police and file a report. You know what I did. I called my Mama. Scott told me specifically NOT to go approach the neighbor. I said "What if that would have been my new car?" I know he's a 3 year old kid, but this is the fourth time he has torn up something of mine. RIP Flamingos. Anyway, Scott went over there and talked for a while. Neighbor dad got the paint off of his truck. No police were called. Josh captured the little brat in the act. I have been needing cookware for, well ever. I have never really owned a matching set of anything. I own one pot (no lid), an electric skillet, one cookie sheet, and a lime green mixing bowl. I have plastic cups and a few coffee cups. My mother actually bought me a set of plates, bowls, and little baby plates for Christmas a few years ago. I was online looking at cookware, and as you know most of the sets are in the mid $100 range. I found a small set with just one pot, one skillet, a colander, and a lid. It was stainless steel. The price was like, $35 or something. I thought "there has to be a catch". I read everything 3 times, I got Scott to read it to make sure I didn't miss anything. Even after I ordered it, I read it again. It said "clearance", so I am getting the best deal in the world. It arrived. Did I mention that Scott and I read the description of these things multiple times? Yeah... I definitely poke fun at myself. BUT! Someone did feel sorry for me. I cooked! Lobster and veggie "salad" The following recipe should go down in the Hall of Shame collection. Madhvi, from work, is always making me these delicious Indian recipes. Most she said she just throws together. Last week she made me this thing, and I tried to duplicate it. I took a picture of it, and attempted to be a culinary master. It had chickpeas, lentils, an apple, a cucumber, an avocado, cilantro, salt and pepper, and a swish of olive oil. My result: Now it tasted alright, it just looked like Rachel Ray's garbage bowl. Today Madhvi made it for me again, she just swapped a couple of ingredients. What is supposed to look like: I have been on a huge salad kick lately. Not healthy salad, mind you, but better than a Baconator, right? My new BFF salad is spinach, arugula, shredded cheddar, goat cheese, popcorn chicken, and Olive Garden dressing. I would like to share my 3 current celeb addictions: 1. Chad Prather: Feet This is the first one I watched, then became addicted: I survived the Big Store 2. Ree Drummond- The Pioneer Woman I have spent hours on her site. I can't get enough of this family. Watching her show with Scott's commentary is one of the best things about a Saturday off. 3. Josh Gates: You know, the funny, beautiful Travel Channel guy? I'm gonna need Amazon to put all of his shows on DVD, kthanks. It is finally happening, y'all. Bailey is getting ready to graduate. I can't even. She had her recital today. *falls out* Her cheering squad was there... And the best part of the day?!? It's Rebecca's birthday!!!!!!!!!!!! |
